Here is a list of a few things you can do to make someone’s holiday a little brighter – and in turn, make yours brighter, too!
Volunteer: Whether you baby sit for a family member for a few hours, or go help in a soup kitchen. Any amount of volunteer work will impact another person in a positive way.
Cook a Meal for Your Neighbor: Everyone likes a home cooked meal, especially when they don’t have to deal with the cleanup. If you know someone who is just too busy to make a home cooked meal, surprise them! Even a simple meal will be appreciated.
Pay It Forward: Make someone’s day by paying for their drive-thru purchase or a meal at a restaurant. They may not get the opportunity to thank you, but you will leave a lasting impression on them and could spark a fire in them to do a good deed for someone else.
Write Letters Of Appreciation: Take time to write letters of appreciation. Think about your co-workers, friends, family, or even the grocery store clerk. A short note can go a long way!
Remember the Troops: Send some holiday cheer to the troops fighting out in Afghanistan or Iraq. Whether it is a care package or a letter of appreciation, your gifts will make their holiday season a little brighter.
