Find Your Stride with Local Running Trails

If you’re training for a summer race, or just trying to stay or get fit, there’s no better way than running outside. To help you mix up your runs, we’re sharing several ideas for finding great local running trails.
First, Map My Run is a great app for iOS and Android, showing running maps and routes in our area. Once a route is selected, it will also track distance, time and calories burned during the session.
Also, if you’re looking to venture out, offers everything from basic runs to long-distance hero routes. Each recommended trail comes from a guidebook by a well-known outdoor publisher.
One final idea for getting in on the local trail scene is to join a running group on Simply enter “running” into their site to find clubs in our area. You’ll also be able to check their individual group profiles on the site for their calendars and routes.
